motion project

i turned this in today. didn't get to do all the neato trickiess i wanted to, so i'm gonna keep werkin on it. but here's dif for now. we picked out sounds without hearing them first, then came up with abstract interpertations of the sounds. PROJECT 02 Frenetic Synaesthetic Sound and Vision. Description// Sound by its nature is an abstract and temporal manifestation. Even though we recognize certain sounds and their connection to specific objects or actions, there is a wide range of possible interrpetation. Likewise, we make associations with particular notes or sounds and their combination and sequencing, whether they are composed or incidental as in the case of the outdoor environment. Using a segment of provided audio, write a visual description of the piece. You will use your notes and description to create a visual response using color, text, symbols, pattern and simple geometric forms. The objective is to understand how to control pacing and sequencing by employing sound as the starting point. Be mindful of synchronous and asynchronous opportunities, scale, contrast, subtlety and dynamism. The visual translation of even a literal interpretation should result in an abstract or indirect visual result.
